Midnight Owl Official Costume By Midnightowl07 D

So as some of you guys may have noticed my Nighthawk redesign has gone missing. This is unfortunately because a user going by MidnightOwl07 believes that I copied his midnight owl design and has decided to file a DMCA claim against me. This is despite the fact that A.]Nighthawk is a marvel character that actually exists and B.]My nighthawk design takes direct inspiration from Green-Mamba 's version of the character. While I have taken action to counter the strike, for now It's kind of in limbo at the moment. If you guys have any advice on what other actions I should take if any. And yeah, My post is now gone because some jackass who traces over other peoples art is having an ego trip. I hope you guys are having a wonderful day.

Chp 1: Look, Up in the Sky

In a clinic in the isolated farm town of Smallville, Martha Kent sobs in the arms of her husband, Johnathan, as they are given the tragic news. Martha has had another miscarriage. They carpool back home with the Lang family, good friends, who join them in their sorrow when the town is hit by a massive meteor shower. Their truck narrowly dodges a ginormous meteor that smashes into the road sending them careening into the near field. As the dust clears, John and Thomas are frozen in their seats. After making sure that Martha and Carol are okay they get out of the truck and approach the crater. The meteor is revealed to be a large metal orb, still smoking from its abrupt crash landing. The ground underneath Johnathan gives and he tumbles down into the crater. As he gets closer to the giant orb, he stares at the large diamond-shaped shield with an “S” insignia. The orb opens to reveal ... a baby, wrapped in a bright red blanket. John picks up the baby only for the orb to dissolve into a small chained pendant. With help from Thomas, John crawls out of the crater with the baby and pendent. And they are all left questioning what to do.

13 years later, we see Clark staring at the sun when he is hit in the head with a football. “Yo!!! Earth to Kent! You playing or what!?”Clark smiles and goes to play with the other kids, he eventually catches the ball and Pete goes in for a tackle. He tries to brace himself but they fall and we hear a deafening crunch, followed by a blood curtailing scream. As the ambulance takes Pete and his mother away Clark sees his father waiting for him at his truck. Clark sheepishly walks towards him.

“Is Pete gonna be okay?” Clark asked nervously.

“Pete‘ll be fine- but that shit storm his mother made- you better be glad he covered for you.” his father said slightly annoyed.

“Are- are you mad?”

“- No- I’m actually glad you made an attempt to be a normal kid. You just need to be more careful.”

“Oh!”

“Your mother, on the other hand, is gonna make you tend to the cattle silo for the next 3 months.”

“Oh-” Clark says going pale as his imagination takes over.

Johnathan tells his son that he has to be more careful with his powers. That the world hasn't seen anything like him before. That they won't understand him and that people don't have the best track record with things they don't understand. As they approach the farm Johnathan hopes that this will just blow over in a few days.

Two weeks later Clark is knocked over and dirt is kicked into his face. “That’s for hurting Pete, you freak.”After the bullies leave Pete reaches his casted hand to help Clark up. As he gets up they notice that he left a handprint in the concrete. Pete simply kicks a big rock over it and they laugh, leaving to meet up with Lana. While Clark feels bad, Pete can’t help but love the attention he’s getting from all the girls. He’s always been a bit of an attention seeker, but the showboating is usually just face value. Pete tries to underplay his injury as just a small hairline fracture, but Clark can see it. The bone, broken all the way through, the large stitched scar from surgery. Pete asks Clark if he’s okay, but the only thing Clark can see is a skeleton. He starts to panic as he begins looking through walls. Lana Lang, a long-time friend, comforts him as he can hear the chatter of the entire school. She calls out to him in the middle of his panic attack. She and Pete pull Clark out of it and though he tells him he’s okay, they only gaze at him concerned. Clark always was a bad liar. Lana kisses Clark on the cheek telling him that she knows he is. Despite how sick she was Lana always tried to make others feel better. Having COPD she needs an emergency air supply and with her oxygen concentrator broken, she’s had to weel around her old tank. Their moment is interrupted when Kenny Braverman, the local meathead, kicks Lana’s oxygen tank which pulls her to the ground, calling them both freaks who deserve each other. Clark’s eyes begin to glow red as he tells them that he’s getting tired of that word. Before Kenny can react the strap to his bag is burned causing it to break. He runs as Clark and Pete helps Lana. His ears begin to blare again but he tunes it out to walk her to class.

That night, Clark gets frustrated as he has broken another chair. Martha tries to tell him that it’s just a chair, “BUT IT’S NOT!!!” Clark shouts “I can see through walls, hear conversations miles away, and bend pipes with my bare hands. And hey maybe my birthday cake will thaw by next month!” He waves his hand at a cake frozen in ice on the counter. Johnathan shouts Clark’s name and the room goes quiet “- I woke up floating above my bed this morning and I almost burned a hole into Kenny because I looked at him too hard.- What am I?” He pleads for an answer sorrowfully. Martha and Johnathan look at each other knowing that it’s finally time to come clean. “Guess we can’t put this off any longer,” John says defeated. They all walk into the barn and go into the underground cellar. Jonathan grabs the red blanket and the pendant. Explaining what happened during the meteor shower he hands Clark the pendant only for it to morph back into the large orb, Almost responding to Clark’s touch. The Orb begins to display holograms of two people speaking in a language he doesn’t understand. It quickly corrects itself. Stating that they are Jor-El and Lor-Van, Clark’s true parents, and that he is from the planet Krypton. By the time he would understand this message Krypton would have been long gone, and he and his older cousin, Kara, would have been the last survivors. They sent him to Earth because they knew that he would be protected. And while he may look like the other humans he is not one of them. This only inrages Clark who lashes out at the hologram shooting lasers out of his eyes. He runs out of the barn Johnathan tries to go after him but Clark has already left the farm. The hologram asked where Kara was but Martha only stated that Clark’s ship was the only one as far as they knew. They apologize fearing the worst. The pod reveals a blue ring stating that if he wishes to, the ring can subdue his powers. Jor and Lor thank Martha for taking care of their child as the orb turns back into a pendant. Clark runs faster than he knew he could, zooming past cars and leaping through the night sky, going farther and farther. A sleeping Lana is awoken by a loud smash in her backyard. She goes out back to see a small crater next to her treehouse and as she goes up she sees Clark crying. Clark calls himself a monster and tells her that he can’t be friends with her anymore. That he might have to leave, and that he was sorry. Lana only laughed at him, asking if he remembered when they played in the fields even though her dad told her not to. How she almost got caught in the Field Harvester, when Clark dived in front of her, saving her life. She asked him if he remembered what she called him. This makes Clark blush, “-your Superman”. She kisses him and tells him that he’s not a monster. That he’s a good guy who cares about other people, and that she knew that one day he would save the world. It doesn’t matter if he’s an alien, a werewolf, or just a guy. He shouldn’t worry about what he is and should focus on what he does. This gives Clark a boost in confidence and when they come down, they find their dads smoking and waiting for them. Clark asks his dad sheepishly “ Can I still be your son?” John smiles and hugs him “You are my son.” John offers to fix the crater and takes Clark home. “Come on- Superman.” Clark turns red as Lana snickers.

Weeks later, Smallville Elementary is contacted by Lex Corp, as an outreach program due to Lex Luthor’s connection to his hometown, offering the school a tour at the new facility. Lex wanted to show the kids in the area that even they could change the world if they put forth the initiative. While on tour Clark comes across a mopping kid that wasn’t part of the trip. Lex points him out as his son “Alexander, a brilliant child that doesn’t get to spend much time with his dad, so he takes it upon himself to sneak into places he shouldn’t be.” Clark and Alex actually start to get along well as the tour goes on, Lex notices this, singling out Clark as a “special one”.This causes Lana and Pete to snicker, while Kenny stews from lack of attention. Lex then leads the kids to the final exhibit, where Lex shows the kids a small sample of the meteorite from 13 years ago. Revealing the glowing green rock, Clark becomes visibly ill. Pete and Lana play it off as just food poisoning from the day before. This gets the attention of Alex, who is confused but looks past it. As the class begins to pack back into the bus Clack waves at Lex and Alexander who smile. On the bus ride back Kenny teases Clark as  “SPECIAL”. Pete gets ready to fire back but Clark tells him “He’s not worth it.”, this only pisses off Kenny who throws an apple at him which misses and hits the bus driver causing him to swerve off the bridge into the lake. The bus begins to sink and as everyone panics, Clark looks at Pete and Lana, breaks the front door open, and dives deep into the lake. As everyone screams the bus begins to move towards land, draining of water. Everyone tends to the injured as they realize that Clark is the one pushing the bus. His secret revealed he ran hiding in his home. That night Martha comforts Clark as Johnathan sits worried his mind racing with worst-case scenarios as he sees a mob of people waiting outside, there are even police. Clark gets ready to walk out, but his family tries to stop him. He just tells his family that he loves them and prepares for the worst. Clark, prepared for them to stone him, but was surprised to see a bunch of thankful parents. Clark was swarmed with thank yous and hugs. The officer walked up with Kenny who apologized for what happened and thanked him for saving his life. Clark responds that it was the right thing to do.

I'm gonna have to do redraw everything because a stupid soda exploded in my backpack so all my art is ruined. Whatever isn't completely drenched in root beer, has ink bleeding onto it. So I'm starting over from scratch with DC characters. This is gonna be a bit slow( I'm gonna have to take my time with this) but plus side everyone's getting revamped. More characters, actually detailed bios in the description, and even casting. This means that posts are gonna be slow(er than they already are😏) in the mean time keep an eye on the scraps section. I'll be posting thumb nails, story ideas and even the more messed up soda  damaged pictures so we can all laugh about this. I hope everyone has a good day and thank all of you guys for all of your support

I am still doing requests, but as of now they can only be sketches, character sheets, and inked drawing until a later date. That means that I am no longer able to do digital art and full colored drawings. This will eventually change, in which case I will update this post. If you want to ask for a request or if you have questions, leave a comment on this post or message me in notes.
Thank you guys for your constant support and have a wonderful day.

Update7/18/18

As of now, requests are closed. If you have already put in a request before this date you will still get your request in a timely matter. But for the next few months, I will no be doing requests. They are not gonna be gone forever, I just really need to catch up on the request I already have and prepare for going back to college.
